Welcome to Fossil School District’s Counseling and Guidance
Program
At Fossil School District we believe that every student deserves quality
education and support regardless of any barriers. With a comprehensive
school counseling program, we hope that each student has the opportunity to
enhance their social/emotional, academic, and post-high school plans. The
school counseling program will work to achieve the following:
● Meet the needs and be an advocate for every student.
● Ensure students can succeed. If students are struggling, then we can
work to provide guidance and tools.
● Create a space for each student that feels welcoming, inviting, and
accepting.
● Provide the space for students to grow academically and socially.
● Work with parents, families, community members, and staff to ensure
positive outcomes for each student.
● We believe that every student needs to be prepared and equipped for
post-high school plans. This means working with each student to create
a plan that could include, but is not limited to, college, trade school,
and the workforce.
